What we're looking for

We're looking for a Finance and Analytics Manager who is as comfortable producing a clean set of management accounts as they are querying a dataset or building a RevOps dashboard. This is a cross-functional role — roughly 60% Finance and 40% across RevOps and Data — ideal for someone who wants breadth without losing their technical accounting roots.

You will sit in the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance, with a Management Accountant handling day-to-day postings, payment runs and ledger BAU. Your focus is on producing high-quality month-end reporting and spending the rest of your time on projects: improving financial processes, supporting RevOps, and working with the Data team. You will review, challenge, and improve existing processes while bringing an analytical lens to the commercial side of the business. You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, have a strong accounting foundation, and enjoy turning data into decisions. You will thrive as a self-starter who can own initiatives end-to-end and maintain high standards across the team.

How we work together

The Finance team comprises a Head of Finance, this role (Finance and Analytics Manager), and a Management Accountant who handles BAU posting, payment runs and ledger maintenance. You will act as the layer between the Management Accountant's outputs and the Head of Finance's reporting, ensuring quality and accuracy of upward reporting and driving cross-functional project work.

  • Collaboration: work closely with the Head of Finance and Management Accountant within Finance, and with cross-functional leads in RevOps and Data on project work.
  • Communication: regularly translate financial outputs and data analysis into clear narratives for senior leadership and department heads.
  • Innovation: identify and drive process improvements from close processes to tracking commercial performance.

What you'll do

  • Month-end reporting & financial control

Own the month-end close — ensure journals, reconciliations and postings are accurate and complete, with insightful management accounts and variance commentary ready on time. Maintain ledger integrity in Xero, reviewing coding and treatment across the business and resolving issues. Take ownership of key technical accounting areas: accruals, prepayments, payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Oversee AP and payment processes, including royalty schedules — ensuring timely, clean execution. Support regulatory and compliance obligations: VAT returns, corporation tax inputs, R&D claims, share-based payment accounting and intercompany positions. Support year-end close and audit preparation in coordination with Head of Finance and external auditors.

  • Financial planning & analysis

Contribute to budgeting and reforecasting cycles; build and maintain supporting models and schedules. Develop and maintain KPI and metric reporting across B2B and DTC revenue streams. Provide financial analysis and commentary for board and leadership reporting. Proactively surface trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Project work: RevOps, Data & process improvement (approx. 40% of role)

Partner with RevOps to build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking revenue performance, pipeline health, and commercial metrics. Work with the Data team to extract, clean, and analyse datasets, translating raw data into financial and commercial insight. Support subscriber metrics, cohort analysis and attribution modelling for the subscription business. Lead initiatives to automate or improve finance and reporting processes, including data pipelines between Stripe, HubSpot and Xero. Act as a finance-literate partner to non-finance stakeholders needing data to inform decisions quickly.

Requirements

It's the perfect role if you are:

  • A confident self-starter who can operate with autonomy and maintain high standards.
  • Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with hands-on experience in management accounting and month-end close.
  • Analytically strong with a genuine appetite for data — comfortable with large datasets, BI tools, or SQL, and not just pre-built reports.
  • Experienced reviewer and improver of financial processes.
  • Comfortable managing a direct report and holding them accountable for BAU outputs.
  • Excellent communicator able to translate complex financial and data outputs for non-finance audiences.
  • Capable of prioritising a mixed workload of close responsibilities and project work.
  • Highly proficient with Excel or Google Sheets; familiar with Xero or a similar cloud accounting platform.

What success looks like

In 3 months

  • Ownership of the month-end close with management accounts landing on time, accurately, and with minimal rework.
  • Solid understanding of Perlego's financial operations and key business drivers.
  • Strong working rhythm with the Management Accountant and a plan for improvements.
  • Identified at least one process or data flow opportunity with a plan to address it.

In 6 months

  • Meaningful improvements to the close process with less manual effort and better output quality.
  • Active contribution to financial models and forecasting, supporting the Head of Finance.
  • Cross-functional partnerships with RevOps and Data as a trusted resource outside Finance.
  • Delivered at least one end-to-end project that improved a financial process or data flow.

Benefits

  • Salary from £65,000 per year.
  • Hybrid working environment; office presence twice per week.
  • Learning and development budget for online courses, subscriptions, or books.
  • Dedicated Learning Time for skill development and projects.
  • Work-life balance: 22 days annual leave plus 1 day per year of service.
  • Office reset: time off between Boxing Day and New Year.
  • Flexi bank holidays to swap local holidays for religious or cultural days.
  • Work from overseas for flexible short-term periods while UK tax resident.
  • Sabbatical: 1-month unpaid after 3 years; 1-month paid after 5 years.
  • Personal days: 1 additional day per year for life events.
  • Health & wellbeing: private medical, optical and dental insurance via Vitality.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Social events and activities for everyone.
  • Competitive matched parental leave and phased return to work.
  • Workplace nursery benefit.
