Hi! We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in quantity surveying, architecture, and project management, with a strong focus on the UK market. This could be a single role or two separate roles. We are open to considering applicants for both QS and/or Architect/Project Manager positions, but UK experience and market knowledge are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Preconstruction activities: takeoffs, estimates, scheduling, scope of works, package splitting, tender documentation, and subcontractor communication.
- Technical understanding of construction processes.
- Reviewing plans and proposing value-engineered alternatives.
- Contract setup (JCT).
- Post-contract management: project management, CSA, budget control, procurement, cash flow, and quality control.
- Handover processes, operation & maintenance.
- Services and utilities coordination.
- Building control and warranty provider interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or Architect in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, contract management, and architectural design.
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
