We’re seeking a high-performing Recruitment Business Developer with a proven track record in engineering or industrial sector recruitment to join a UK-based agency specialising in permanent placements across manufacturing, logistics, and process-driven industries.
This is a remote opportunity for a South African-based professional with deep experience in client acquisition and account growth within the UK recruitment market. You’ll work within a well-structured “Build & Delivery” model, with clearly defined roles, cutting-edge tools, and full operational support. Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Development
- Reignite relationships with lapsed or inactive engineering/manufacturing clients
- Execute smart outreach strategies focused on the industrial and logistics sectors
- Adopt a “land and expand” approach—building initial traction into long-term accounts
- Sales Strategy & Outreach
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Bullhorn CRM, and company datasets to identify leads
- Qualify, call, and follow up on prospects with a strong focus on value-based engagement
- Maintain excellent records in CRM (Bullhorn), including call notes, activity, and pipeline
- Remote Collaboration & Reporting
- Engage in regular virtual meetings with UK teams
- Participate in performance reviews, KPIs, and remote training sessions
- Align with marketing and delivery teams to ensure seamless client experience
Qualifications & Requirements
Non-Negotiable:
Minimum 3–5 years of business development experience in engineering or industrial sector recruitment
Prior experience working with UK-based clients or recruitment markets
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient in Bullhorn (or similar recruitment CRM) and familiar with LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Strong understanding of permanent placements within engineering, logistics, or manufacturing
- Own a laptop/desktop, with stable Wi-Fi and a backup power source (load-shedding compatible)
