Since 2007, we’ve helped more than 22,000 US and UK founders and leaders feel more organised, more in control, and less stressed — by matching them with a remote fractional assistant who takes care of their to-do list. We’re looking for a Finance & Governance Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our finance function and help ensure the business continues to operate with strong financial discipline. This is an opportunity for someone ready to step into a role with real ownership, taking responsibility for financial reporting, controls, and compliance while working closely with our leadership team and external advisors. As you grow in the role, you’ll also have the opportunity to shape and strengthen how finance supports the wider business, improving systems, reporting, and processes as the company continues to grow. This role is particularly well suited to someone moving from an accountancy firm into their first in-house finance leadership position, or someone who has worked within a finance team and is ready to take on broader responsibility. You’ll join a long-established, founder-led business that combines stability with agility — giving you the chance to broaden your experience while helping support the continued growth of the company.

- Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Track cash flow and highlight any potential risks or issues
- Provide clear financial insight to support business decisions
- Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory requirements
- Maintain strong financial controls and accurate financial records
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts and audits
- Work with external accountants, auditors, and advisors
- Finance Operations
- Oversee day-to-day finance activities including payroll, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Ensure finance systems and processes run smoothly and efficiently
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience working in an accountancy practice or within a finance team
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance

- Organised and detail-oriented with strong financial discipline
- Able to explain financial information clearly and simply
- Comfortable taking ownership of work and improving processes
- High level of integrity, reliability, and personal accountability
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and drives improvement
What You'll Get
- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a senior leadership role
- Strategic influence combined with real ownership
- A supportive leadership environment that values smart thinking and doing the right thing
- Flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to shape the future of the finance function
