Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: HSE DUTIES Assist Line Management to champion HSSEQ requirements
• Daily walk around vessel, hazard hunts and participation in toolbox talks
• Promote company HSSEQ policies including right-to-stop-work aboard vessels and in activities involving sub-contractors.
• Ensure that all personnel are aware of the crew safety structure including Client's Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP) and Disaster Plan.
• Participate in and organise Emergency Response drills.
• Ensure that all personnel are familiar with the HSSEQ practices and procedures for their job and that these practices are being adhered to.
• Report all accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Support development of Management System HSSEQ documentation.
• Ensure that all personnel are trained in accordance with statutory HSE Training and ensure records of HSEQ training are maintained. Carry out Audits and Inspections
• Provide guidance on maintenance, inspection and replacement of PPE as necessary.
• Carry out audits to continually review and improve practices and procedures by taking into account lessons learned, hazard identifications and risk assessments.
MEDICAL DUTIES
Provision of Primary Care
• To provide primary & emergency care for all crew members including diagnosing and managing routine medical conditions and minor injuries.
• To discuss all significant medical cases with Topside Doctor and if necessary summon emergency medical support and prepare personnel for evacuation in accordance with the vessel's Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP) and the Party Chief and Captain.
• To provide follow up treatment in cases of injury and illness where evacuation is not required.
• To undertake accurate clinical assessment and examinations.
• To maintain up-to-date, accurate, individual medical records for all crew members.
• Promote healthy lifestyle in accordance with Client's policy by delivering regular training on health issues as per agenda.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities
