Tennial Personnel are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our clients team in Ipswich. This position works Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis (if you are successful over the 12 week period, a permanent role may be offered). The role focuses on structural and architectural steelwork, requiring precision and adherence to industry standards. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components for a variety of projects ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding & Fabrication: Perform MIG, TIG or ARC welding on steel structures and components.
  • Technical Drawings: Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings and technical schematics.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed work for accuracy, durability and adherence to safety standards.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with team members, project managers and supervisors to meet deadlines.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG and / or ARC welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience using welding machines, grinders and workshop equipment.

Qualifications Required:

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with structural and architectural steelwork.
  • Understanding of industry safety regulations and procedures.
  • Counterbalance Forklift License is advantageous but not essential.
