Tennial Personnel are actively seeking an experienced Production Technician with gantry crane and forklift experience to join a growing, family-run manufacturing business based in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity following a successful 12-week probation period, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, offering an hourly rate of Β£13.00βΒ£14.00 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate gantry cranes and forklifts to safely move materials and large assemblies
- Support mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations
- Ensure safe lifting, loading, and accurate positioning of components
- Work to production schedules, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Carry out visual inspections and assist with quality checks
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment
- Support all areas of production when required
- Report any safety, quality, or equipment issues promptly
Skills Required
- Proven experience operating gantry cranes and forklifts in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of safe lifting and material handling practices
- Ability to follow procedures and safety-critical processes
- Flexible, team-oriented approach to work
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Qualifications Required
