About the Role

Own the full hiring strategy for your teams, from defining the profile of a great hire to building the sourcing plan that gets you there, with a particular focus on the London and broader European talent market. Partner closely with engineering managers, tech leads, and product leaders to deeply understand what they're building, challenge assumptions about what great looks like, and shape a rigorous process that consistently leads to the right hire. Build and maintain proactive, high-quality candidate pipelines, drawing on London’s world-class engineering community, that reflect both the talent market and Via’s future needs. Run fast, thoughtful, and innovative recruiting processes that give candidates a great experience and reflect the ambition and pace of Via's engineering culture. Develop a sharp point of view on the technical talent market – spotting patterns, sharing insights with hiring teams, and constantly looking for ways to raise the bar on how we hire.

  • Naturally curious and always learning; you want to understand the why behind decisions and enjoy contributing ideas, not just executing on a problem.
  • Steady, optimistic, and solution-oriented in every situation; we are Via’s culture carriers.
  • Energised by ambiguous, complex challenges that require good judgment and thoughtful problem-solving.
