About the Role

As Senior Marketing Associate you will support the Regional Marketing Manager in leading local marketing activity for Remitly, contributing to the strategy and owning the day‐to‐day implementation across the market. You will support the launch and scaling of Remitly into new markets, executing marketing programmes that build awareness, trust, and consideration among key diaspora and expat audiences. You'll work closely with regional and global stakeholders, as well as agency partners, to deliver high impact, culturally relevant campaigns that drive growth in line with business objectives. This is a hybrid role (2‐3 days a week) based in our London office. It reports to one of our Senior Marketing Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Marketing Manager in shaping and executing Remitly's marketing strategy for EMEA working cross‐functionally with Business Management, Creative, Legal, and Media teams to develop marketing plans, agency briefs, and creative executions that resonate with key diaspora and expat audiences.
  • Plan and activate integrated campaigns across channels including OOH, digital, paid social, radio, and sponsorships, partnering closely with our in‐house performance and digital marketing team.
  • Bring strong knowledge of the local media and agency landscape to inform channel planning and partner selection.
  • Support the build and scaling of Remitly's community marketing programme in EMEA, identifying relevant partnerships, ambassador strategies, grassroots activations, and audience entry points.
  • Manage influencer and creator programmes in partnership with local agencies, overseeing briefs, content delivery, and performance reporting to ensure authentic representation of Remitly across key communities.
  • Own end‐to‐end delivery of marketing work streams across multiple campaigns and partners simultaneously, ensuring on‐time, on‐brief, on‐budget execution.
  • Track and report on brand and marketing performance metrics in close partnership with analytics and consumer insights teams.
  • Support the management and optimisation of marketing budgets, ensuring activity is delivered on budget and spend is accurately tracked.
  • Leverage AI tools to optimise marketing output and embed into day‐to‐day ways of working, supporting faster and smarter execution across all work streams.

Qualifications

  • 5‐6+ years of marketing experience in EMEA with a strong understanding of the local media, agency, and publisher landscape.
  • Proven campaign planning skills across both traditional media (OOH, radio, sponsorships) and digital channels, with the ability to manage integrated plans from brief to reporting.
  • Strong project management capability — organised, detail‐oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting community marketing and ambassador programmes, with an understanding of how to build relevance among diaspora and migrant audiences.
  • Hands‐on experience with influencer and creator partnerships, and comfort planning and attending community events.
  • Comfort operating as the primary in‐market marketing lead, collaborating closely with regional and global teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or similarly regulated categories is a bonus.
