Purpose of the Role

As a Curriculum and Instructional Designer at Remit Training, you will design and develop innovative, high-quality curriculum and instructional materials for a range of programmes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping engaging learning experiences that enable learners to achieve their full potential, from Level 2 to Level 5 work-based apprenticeships, Higher Technical Qualifications, and commercial courses.

You will analyse learning needs, identify objectives, and develop impactful content in a variety of formats including digital, blended, and face-to-face ensuring our programmes meet the highest educational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as, or work closely with, subject matter experts to design and develop content for allocated programmes.
  • Plan, build, and maintain a portfolio of curriculum modules covering Levels 2 to 5 for work-based apprenticeships, Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), and commercial courses.
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging interactive learning content for both eLearning and face-to-face delivery that supports learners to reach End-Point Assessment (EPA) on time.
  • Collaborate with curriculum colleagues to design, improve, and enhance our suite of high-quality, interactive workshops (remote and face-to-face).
  • Produce first-class content in collaboration with the delivery teams, awarding organisations, and EPAOs.
  • Research new topics quickly and thoroughly to create industry-leading, cutting-edge professional content.
  • Develop and maintain programme guides, templates, and supporting documentation for learners and employers.
  • Curate targeted further learning and reading lists for each module in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Ensure all content and programmes comply with ESFA and Ofsted requirements and embed Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes, and Off-The-Job Hours (OTJH) throughout.
  • Maintain up-to-date, relevant, and engaging content across all assigned curriculum areas
  • Contribute positively to team culture by following Remit’s Curriculum Team guidelines, meeting deadlines, completing administrative tasks accurately, and demonstrating positive behaviours and communication.

Experience And Skills

  • Experience writing educational/training content for qualifications from Level 2 to Level 5.
  • Understanding of data and technology applications in real-world contexts.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning applications in education or training.
  • Experience delivering training content.
  • Knowledge of and experience working within the FE and Skills sector.
  • Teaching/coaching qualification, minimum AET or equivalent.
