Role Overview
This role supports the Delivery & Quality Manager and wider business functions with the day‑to‑day operational administration of Apprenticeship Assessment. Responsibilities include approving gateways, scheduling and monitoring practical observations in the Derby EPA Centre, preparing assessment tools, invigilating online exams, and representing Assessu in the centre. The role also supports wider Assessu activity across the apprenticeship portfolio, including scheduling, allocation, release of grades, logging QA feedback and certification claiming.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with centres to ensure learners’ assessments align with forecasts and schedule bookings.
- Liaise with centres to ensure employers & learners receive timely notification of planned assessments (EPAs).
- Maintain professional standards and conduct with learners, colleagues and facilities.
- Consistently demonstrate the Assessu values and understand the relevant client culture.
- Daily maintenance of the automotive tracker with bookings, cancellations, amendments, reasonable adjustments and results, ensuring data accuracy.
- Share results with relevant stakeholders as they are released.
- Work closely with centres to support and advise on assessment movement, resits and queries.
- Collate relevant assessment tools for all practical observations.
- Add assessment and resit bookings on Vision.
- Provide ad‑hoc data and support when required.
Key Requirements – Qualifications
- Good standard of general education including 5 GCSEs (essential).
- Maths and English at equivalent functional skills level 2 or above (essential).
Key Experience
- Experience and/or understanding of Apprenticeship Assessment and the role of Assessment Organisations (desirable).
- Knowledge of relevant Skills England/DfE rules for Apprenticeship Assessment (desirable).
- Experience of dealing with external clients and delivering excellent customer service (essential).
- Use of technology‑based planning systems (desirable).

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail (essential).
- Exceptional communication skills (essential).
