General Duties:
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform repairs and required preventative maintenance.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
- May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Maintain work areas in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
- Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
The position works closely with Team Leads, Supervisors and the Plant Manager and requires a professional approach to the job. The ability to be self-motivated, have good attendance, work safely and achieve goals, objectives and effective process control as required.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of both typical 110/220/440 voltage and high voltage industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMI and microelectronics.
- Mechanical aptitude including electric motors, hydraulics, pumps, pneumatics, gears, conveyors and related equipment.
