Reception Class Teacher – SEN School

Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a supportive SEN school based in Lambeth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with strong EYFS and SEN experience who is confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The school are looking for someone nurturing, patient and creative, with the ability to deliver engaging early years learning in a structured and inclusive environment.

The Role:

As a Reception Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
• Support pupils’ communication, social interaction and emotional development
• Use play-based learning and structured activities to encourage progress
• Adapt teaching and resources to meet individual learning needs
• Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and therapy teams
• Monitor pupil progress through observations and assessment
• Support pupils with routines, transitions and positive behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong EYFS teaching experience
• SEN experience is highly desirable
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• A nurturing, patient and creative approach
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to work well with support staff and wider professionals
• A genuine passion for helping young children with SEN thrive
