We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in East London. This is a rewarding opportunity for somebody passionate about supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties, helping them access education within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

The school supports students with a range of additional needs including PMLD, complex medical needs, Autism, sensory needs, and physical disabilities.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Supporting students with communication, engagement, and sensory activities
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
  • Helping to create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting students with mobility and physical needs where necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous SEN or care experience
  • Experience supporting PMLD students is highly desirable
  • Be patient, caring, and emotionally resilient
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
