We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in South East London for a September start. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody passionate about education and supporting children within a primary school environment. The school is looking for a proactive and engaging Teaching Assistant who can support learning, behaviour, and pupil development across the classroom.

The role may involve working across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on experience and school requirements.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom on a 1:1, small group, and whole class basis
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Delivering interventions in literacy, numeracy, phonics, and reading support
  • Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
  • Preparing classroom resources and supporting general classroom organisation
  • Supervising pupils during break times, transitions, and school activities
