A very supportive and Ofsted-rated Outstanding SEN school in Southwark is looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to work with students across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Job Role

  • Monday to Thursday
  • QTS & previous SEN experience needed
  • Not suitable for ECTs
  • Primarily dealing with KS4 pupils but may be a few KS3 lessons depending on the timetable
  • Responsible for own planning
  • Subjects to cover – ASDAN KS4 accreditation, Humanities pathways, Preparing for Adulthood, small amount of RE
  • Must have English as mother tongue or be otherwise completely fluent as many of our pupils have speech and communication needs
  • Will be covering various classes and groups mostly across KS4, pupils have a range of SEN including autism
  • Will not have form tutor responsibilities

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience or strong understanding of supporting students with ASD and MLD
  • Secondary school teaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
