Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Early Years SEN Lead to join a supportive primary school based in Barking & Dagenham for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Early Years and SEN experience who is confident leading provision, supporting children with additional needs, and working closely with staff, families, and external professionals.
The school are looking for a nurturing, organised, and proactive candidate who can help ensure children within Early Years receive the right support to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
The Role:
- Leading SEN provision within the Early Years setting
- Supporting children with a range of needs including ASD, speech and language needs, developmental delay, communication difficulties, and social/emotional needs
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, support staff, and senior leaders
- Supporting EHCP targets, individual learning plans, and early intervention strategies
- Delivering and overseeing 1:1 and small group interventions
- Helping staff adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Creating a calm, nurturing, and inclusive Early Years environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and supporting next steps
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have strong Early Years experience
- Have previous SEN experience within a school or nursery setting
- Be confident supporting children with additional needs
- Have experience leading interventions or supporting SEN provision
- Understand the EYFS framework and early child development
- Be calm, patient, organised, and proactive
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be passionate about helping children access learning and build confidence
