SEN Teaching Assistant (Epilepsy Trained) – SEMH Secondary School
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Pay: £100 – £115 per day

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with epilepsy training to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a rewarding role supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside medical needs, in a structured and supportive environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Support pupils with epilepsy, ensuring safety and appropriate response to seizures
- Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in lessons
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans
- Promote a safe, calm and structured learning environment
- Support students’ emotional regulation and social development
Requirements
- Experience working in SEMH or challenging behaviour settings
- Epilepsy training or experience supporting pupils with epilepsy
- Strong behaviour management and resilience
- A calm, patient and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
