Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with epilepsy training to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a rewarding role supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside medical needs, in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Support pupils with epilepsy, ensuring safety and appropriate response to seizures
  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in lessons
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans
  • Promote a safe, calm and structured learning environment
  • Support students’ emotional regulation and social development

Requirements

  • Experience working in SEMH or challenging behaviour settings
  • Epilepsy training or experience supporting pupils with epilepsy
  • Strong behaviour management and resilience
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
