This role is a temporary supply assignment at a new school site in Walthamstow. The successful candidate will join the Site Team to help ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Duration: initially at least one term, with potential to continue through to December 2026 as the school moves towards recruiting a permanent member of staff.
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 1:30pm–6:30pm (including some holiday work, with a 20-minute unpaid break during the shift).
Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day running and upkeep of the school site
- Assist with opening and securing the premises when required
- Carry out basic maintenance, repairs, and general DIY tasks
- Ensure classrooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces are well maintained
- Assist with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups
- Complete routine checks and report any issues to the Site Manager
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the whole school community
- Experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or a similar site-based role (desirable)
- Practical, dependable, and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- Ability to respond positively to changing priorities and unexpected tasks
- Understanding of health and safety within a school environment
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to supporting the wider school community
