Remedy Tutors are expanding across most towns in Suffolk and we’re looking for passionate, experienced tutors to support students who need personalised, one-to-one help. If you enjoy making a real difference and helping young people rebuild confidence as well as academic skills, this could be the perfect flexible role.

About the Role

You’ll provide individual tuition to students who may need support with:

  • GCSE core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
  • Closing gaps in learning
  • SEND or SEMH needs
  • Re‑engaging with education after time out of school
  • Building confidence and motivation

Sessions can take place in the home, in schools, community settings (libraries), or online, depending on the student’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Tutors or teachers with strong subject knowledge in Maths, English or Science
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students (KS3/GCSE level)
  • A patient, adaptable, and student‑centred approach
  • Confidence supporting learners with additional needs (SEND/SEMH)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to plan engaging, personalised lessons
  • Teaching qualifications (QTS/PGCE) are highly valued, but strong tutoring experience is also considered.

Your Responsibilities
