We are looking for a caring and empathetic SEN tutor to work 1:1 with a cohort of children in the Sutton area. As an SEN tutor for Remedy, you will make a real difference to the lives of local children with special and additional learning needs.
You will be assigned a caseload of SEN students that fall within your specific teaching specialisms, are local to you and also suit your availability.
Qualifications & Experience- Confident to conduct baseline assessments and diagnostics.
- Able to plan, implement, and deliver tailored programmes of study in line with the immediate learning needs of the student.
- Previous experience working with children either in a school setting or 1:1 within the home, local library or online (sometimes both face-to-face and online is required).
- Experience dealing with a range of special educational needs, learning disabilities and difficulties, such as social and emotional behavioural difficulties, literacy and numeracy needs, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ODD, ADHD.
- Ideal to be available to teach during school hours; occasional tuition in evenings and on weekends may be required.
- Fully enhanced DBS for children and adults (registered on DBS Update Service); if not available, new DBS can be applied for through Remedy.
