Are you a dynamic and passionate SEN teacher based in or around the Croydon area? If that’s a yes, then I have an exciting opportunity for you to join our busy team of SEN tutors making a real difference to the lives of local children with a range of emotional and learning needs.

As an SEN tutor for Remedy, you would be assigned your own cohort of students that fall within your specific teaching specialism, to meet your availability.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan and implement tailored programmes of study in line with the needs of a student.
  • Deliver tutoring in a setting that may include the child’s home, a local library, school, or online (face to face and online when required).
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with a range of special needs, learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties, literacy and numeracy needs, and any additional needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ODD, etc.
  • Experience assessing, planning and implementing tailored programmes of study in line with the needs of a student.
  • Previous experience working either in a school setting, at the child’s home, at a local library or to deliver tuition online.
  • Ideally free to teach within school hours, although you should have flexibility and be able to offer a range of hours.
  • Enhanced DBS for children and adults; ideally registered on the DBS update service.
Contract & Benefits

Note that you will need an enhanced DBS for children and adults, ideally registered on the DBS update service - if you do not already have one, you can still apply for one through Remedy. We offer competitive rates of pay, flexible working hours and short to long term contracts.
