Our client Telford and Wrekin Council is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism team.

About the Role

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of adults, delivering strengths-based assessments, support planning, safeguarding interventions, and reviews to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a professional caseload, completing assessments, support plans, reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Apply strengths-based and asset-based approaches to support individuals and families.
  • Promote safeguarding and undertake investigations where required.
  • Work collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, and community partners to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Attend and contribute to peer reviews, reflective practice sessions, and team discussions.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and support less experienced staff and students.
  • Undertake duty responsibilities as part of the team rota.
  • Promote equality, dignity, choice, and person-centred practice.

Additional Requirements / Expectations

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and best practice, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Ability to make evidence-based decisions and effectively manage risk.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Strong partnership-working and communication skills.
