Our client Trafford Council is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join their Families First (Duty & Assessment & CIN) Team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a locality basis with children and families requiring social work assessment within the Child in Need Service.
  • Complete duty on a rota basis and maintain a varied workload including undertaking section 47 enquiries, completing child and family assessments and holding a manageable caseload of children supported through child‑in‑need planning.
  • Build relational partnerships to strengthen service delivery and enable the step‑down of plans where it is safe to do so and within families' timescales.

Requirements

  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of vulnerable children and families.
