Our client Trafford Council is looking for a Children's Senior Social Worker to join their First Response team. Working hours are full time, 36.25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Part of a service that aligns Family Help Services with the Front Door of Social Care; non-case holding role focusing on community outreach and supporting families to build upon strengths and access necessary support.
  • Partner with others, take advice and guidance to step out and show how to bring a plan together, assess risk, draw partners together, and enable effective intervention with families.
  • Work alongside First Response Advisers and partners to share information, identify risk and strengths, and facilitate work transfer to the right place at the right time.
  • May be required to work outside core business hours in line with service needs.
  • Act as an Advanced Practitioner, coaching, supporting, supervising designated staff or students and supporting their professional development.

Qualifications

  • 5 years reference with gaps in employment history checked.
  • Relevant qualifications as per JDPS.
  • Knowledge and confidence in risk assessment, levels of need, and ability to engage others kindly and build relationships in the community.
