Our client Manchester city council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Family Help Service. South Family Help Service have a temporary vacancy for a team manager to support and manage a team of 2 Advanced Practitioners and 4 Social Workers. The post is within the family help service who are responsible for working with families who need support at CIN, CP, Pre-proceedings, care proceedings and adoption. The service are currently a test and learn site for the development of the DFE Families First Reforms and as such it is an exciting time to join the service and to be part of the continued development of the family help service and the introduction of the Multi-agency Child Protection Team. You will be part of a 10 week allocation rota where you will manage the intake of families into the service. You will be experienced in providing supportive, reflective supervision to staff and effectively managing family help and safeguarding cases. You will be part of a service of 10 Family Help teams, a MACPT team and Children with Disabilities team. You will receive monthly supervision and have access to training that is available across the directorate. The post is based at Etrop Court in Wythenshawe and there is available free parking in the local vicinity.
