Job Purpose To undertake high-quality statutory social work with children, young people and families, with particular responsibility for complex safeguarding, child protection and court-related work.
The post holder will promote the safety, welfare and best interests of children through effective assessment, analysis, intervention, care planning and review.
They will manage a complex caseload and provide professional support, guidance and role modelling to less experienced social workers and other colleagues.
The role requires effective partnership working with children and families, education, health, police, legal services and other agencies.
The post holder will contribute to Child Protection processes, Public Law Outline (PLO) activity and care proceedings, ensuring that social work practice is evidence-based, child-centred and compliant with statutory requirements.
