The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with Local Government experience who is proactive and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and related services.
  • Collaborating with Heads of Services to support budget forecasting and monitoring.
  • Designing complex costing models to enhance service efficiencies.
  • Monitoring data against the Council's revenue and capital budgets.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills with a proven record in a housing finance role within local government.
  • Completing statutory HRA returns.
  • Contributing to the formulation of a comprehensive 30-year financial business plan.

This role will initially be for 6 months and will be offered on a hybrid basis.
