Our client Enfield Council is looking for a SEN Co-ordinator to join their team. Full Time working from home (Hybrid working possible in the Civic Centre) £278.32 per day - rate to be confirmedPurpose of the Role: This position involves providing a comprehensive service to enable the Local Authority (LA) to fulfil its statutory duties in relation to the assessment of pupils with special educational needs by ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of statutory procedures and the appropriate placement and ongoing provision arrangements for Enfield residing pupils both inside and outside the LA area To undertake the statutory needs assessment process of a needs request and the issuing of EHC Plans (where agreed), in accordance with The Children and Families Act 2014 and SEN Code of Practice January 2015 (or updated version thereafter). Ensure that the education, health and care needs assessment is undertaken within statutory timeframes, information is recorded correctly and appropriately on databases/systems and records are kept up-to-date and accurate. To coordinate a person centred, outcome focused multi agency approach to the assessment, planning and support of the statutory process, ensuring that the CYP is at the centre of decision making and parents are treated as equal partners in the assessment and planning process To keep in mind the core principles of Preparing for Adulthood across all ages when drafting EHC Plans and to ensure that there is an evident golden thread linking the CYP's aspirations to their needs, outcomes and provisionBenefits of working with Remedy A personal one-one service from your highly experienced dedicated consultant.
