Our client Rochdale council is looking for a Children s Team Manager to join their Fostering Kinship team.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and nurturing Team Manager to lead our Connected Persons Team within Rochdale s Fostering Service.

Kinship care is a growing and integral part of achieving permanence for children and young people, enabling them to remain connected to their family networks and communities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient leader with a passion for family-led solutions, who can inspire and develop staff, drive high-quality practice and ensure children remain at the centre of all decision-making.

As Team Manager, you will provide operational leadership and management oversight for a team of social workers undertaking Connected Persons Assessments, Regulation 24 assessments and viability assessments.

You will be responsible for ensuring assessments are robust, analytical, relationship-based and completed within statutory timescales.

You will support the team in presenting assessments to fostering panel and provide quality assurance to ensure high standards of practice are consistently achieved.

The role will involve managing the team s involvement in court proceedings where required and providing guidance and support regarding complex cases and decision-making.
