Our client Bolton council is looking for an Adults Social Worker to join their Duty and Referrals team.

You will need to have experience of carrying out strengths based assessments under the Care Act 2014 and devising and implementing comprehensive support plans, including supporting service users to access universal and voluntary services. You will be expected to carry out assessments, carers assessments and formulate support plans under the Care Act 2014. Knowledge, experience, and the ability to adhere to the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other Social Work legislation and practice guidance are also essential.

The role includes covering a busy duty system on a rota basis, taking referrals and offering information and advice at point of contact.

Preferable experience of:

  • Managing an active caseload.
  • Undertaking safeguarding investigations.
  • Continuing health care assessments and attendance at multi-agency meetings.
  • Multi-disciplinary working.
