Our client Somerset council is looking for a Team Manager to join their Family safeguarding team.

You will lead a team of 6 social workers, providing support, regular supervision, scrutiny and oversight of the children and families they are working with.

You will chair key meetings such as strategy discussion, PLO meetings, permanency planning meetings and support social workers in court hearings as required.

You will make decisions regarding need and risk, and be able to escalate as needed and follow correct policy, procedure and legislation.

I am looking for an experienced social work manager, ready to start immediately and take on an established team while their manager is away from work. You will have proven experience of working within child safeguarding, with strong writing and analysis skills to ensure high standards of report writing and quality assurance.
