Our client Liverpool city council is looking for an Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering support and supervision team. We are looking for a new social worker within Fostering Support and Supervision, to specifically support foster carers who have recently been assessed under Regulation 24.
Candidates must be experienced in Fostering - specifically within Support and Supervision and have strong knowledge of Fostering Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Fostering Standards to apply for the role.
The role includes:
- Providing high level of support and guidance to Foster Carers ensuring they meet the national minimum standards and Fostering regulations and children achieve their potential and best possible outcomes.
- Identifying any training needs of the Foster Carers and ensuring foster carers complete statutory training.
- Regular supervision visits to all Foster Carers, undertaking high quality sessions.
- Completion of formal annual reviews.
- Making informed child centred decisions, applying critical reflection and analysis in complex cases.
- Ability to meet demands of the service, producing consistent high quality work to good standard within set timescales.
- Ensure children and young people are safeguarded in their foster placements.
