We are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work in specialist provisions across Barking & Dagenham, supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. These roles are active, fast-paced and require staff who can build relationships quickly while maintaining calm and consistency.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working 1:1 and in small groups across the school day
- Helping students access learning in a structured way
- Using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies
- Supporting daily routines and transitions
What we're looking for:
- Experience in youth work, sports coaching, education or support roles
- Confident, energetic but calm under pressure
- Ability to build rapport quickly with young people
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Resilient and proactive attitude
