Responsibilities of this Year 5 Teacher role:

  • Stay up to date with educational research and policies through training, workshops, and reading, while actively implementing all school and local authority initiatives.
  • Promote a positive school culture by modelling excellent teaching practice, motivating staff, and representing the school in meetings with governors and external networks.
  • Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that challenges all pupils and supports progress in core and non-core subjects.
  • Monitor pupil progress closely, using data to identify and implement effective interventions that close learning gaps and raise achievement.
  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues and parents to support individual learning needs and communicate curriculum developments.

The Ideal Candidate for this Year 5 Teacher role will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Year 5.
