Rate: £40 - 45 per hour
At Remedy we are looking for an Outreach Tutor to support a year 9 pupil who cannot attend a mainstream school due to social anxiety. Working in pupils' homes, local libraries, or schools, you'll have the opportunity to help students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve meaningful educational outcomes in core subjects such as English, Maths, PSHE, as well as through interventions and mentoring. The session will typically last 2 hours.
Please note that your pupil is a high-achieving and happy to do the work so we are looking for someone confident in GCSE English & Maths, experienced with SEMH, and comfortable working 1:1.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS (Desirable)
- Strong GCSE tuition standard
- 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY EDUCATION, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
