Slough Borough Council are currently looking for an Interim Advice and Information Project Manager. Hybrid Working.

Job Description:

Scope of Interim Role

The Council has a statutory duty to deliver an information and advice service under the Care Act 2014; but we know that information and advice needs to go much further than a narrow definition of care and support. An effective information and advice service is a crucial tool for promoting wellbeing, meeting the needs and expectations of our local community and we want to draw on best practice to inform our future offer of an effective and holistic information and advice service which fosters the wellbeing of all our local residents.

That includes the need to ensure that information and advice is available offline as well as online, including telephone and face-to-face advice. We are also acutely aware that we need to use a range of different techniques to allow our information and advice offer to reach different communities, particularly true for those who have been historically hard to reach or underrepresented, for example, veterans, homeless, the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and those who have low levels of literacy.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated interim to undertake a 6 months focused review of the current A and I provision across Slough, working with Slough's voluntary and community sector organisations to identify opportunities to improve the provision of accessible, timely information and advice.

You will be part of the Strategic Commissioning Team in Adult Social Care as this review will also inform our transformation work in relation to the ASC "Front Door" and our CQC Improvement Plan regarding their findings on access to A and I in Slough.
