Our client Shropshire council is looking for a Senior Safeguarding Practitioner to join their Adults team.
Key Responsibilities:
- The post holder will play a vital role in implementing and improving the robust adult safeguarding procedures that already exist within Shropshire.
- They will contribute to the overall smooth running of the adult safeguarding team and help deliver the targets set in the general adult safeguarding arena.
- To be able to deal with conflict and maintain a robust position against challenge.
- To deputise for the Team manager on adult safeguarding matters in their absence.
- Respond to concerns and enquiries for adults at risk of abuse that are brought to the attention of the Local Authority.
- Hold a complex case load and work to enable the adult at risk to maintain or develop all aspects of daily living and to be as fully independent as possible in a safe and low risk environment.
- Assist, advise and line manage Safeguarding Practitioners as required.
- Build strong relationships with providers and partner agencies to assist with maintaining standards of care.
