Morning Sessions | SEND/Autism Support | ASAP Start
Remedy Education are looking for an experienced and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with SEND, predominantly Autism.
This position is currently mornings only, which will then progress into full days after a period of time.
The school is looking for someone confident and experienced who can use their initiative and recognise where support is needed, rather than waiting to be directed throughout the morning.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEND/Autism, ideally within EYFS or KS1
- Be calm, patient and consistent when supporting emotional regulation
- Be proactive, confident and able to use their own initiative
- Have experience with 1:1 and small-group support
- Be confident following individual targets, visual supports and structured activities
- Support children with limited or emerging spoken language
- Be comfortable supporting learning through play and continuous provision
- Communicate effective with children, teachers and other staff
- Be reliable, flexible and able to adapt to individual needs
The school is looking to trial suitable candidates, so this would be a great opportunity for an experienced SEND TA who is available to start ASAP.
If you have any questions please call 0208 418 1390 or ask for Dylan at Remedy Education.
