Remedy Tutors provides tailored, 1-1 and small group tuition to children and young people with a range of special educational needs. We work closely with schools, local authorities, and families to ensure each learner receives the personalised support they need to thrive.
The Role:
We are looking for passionate and experienced Qualified Teachers (QTS) to deliver high-quality SEN tuition in Southend. The role involves working with learners in their homes, schools, or alternative provisions, helping them progress both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for students with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and more)
Create a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and independence
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents, schools, and our team
Maintain accurate session records and progress reports
Requirements:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting learners
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
