We are seeking a calm, compassionate, and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to work closely with class teachers and therapists to support the individual needs of our students. The ideal candidate will bring a flexible and empathetic approach, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:- Work alongside teaching staff to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with personal care, communication, sensory, and mobility needs.
- Help develop and deliver individual care plans and tailored learning activities.
- Promote independence, life skills, and social interaction in all settings.
- Participate in school clubs, enrichment programs, and wider school life.
- Contribute to ongoing assessment and feedback, working in partnership with families and specialists.
- Previous experience working in SEN schools or specialist settings (essential).
- A calm, compassionate, and flexible attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Educated to at least Level 1 in English and Maths.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Team player with a strong sense of initiative and a positive mindset.
