We are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with epilepsy and associated neurological, emotional, and mental health needs. The Role

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and epilepsy
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development
  • Work closely with therapists, clinicians, and support staff to implement individual education and care plans
  • Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to support learning and wellbeing
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Has experience working with SEMH needs, SEND, or vulnerable learners
  • Has a strong understanding of behaviour support and emotional wellbeing
  • Is calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication skills
  • Is committed to inclusive education and safeguarding

Experience working with pupils with epilepsy, neurological conditions, or in specialist settings is desirable but not essential - full training and ongoing professional development will be provided.
