SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant - Greenwich £100 - £112 per day Immediate Start

Remedy are looking for an experienced SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Greenwich for children with moderate and complex learning needs. The setting is a large SEN school with multiple sites who cater for a mix of ages, and are looking for someone with a range of experience to join their team ASAP.

The Role:

  • Working with children on a 1:1 and group basis who have a variety of needs, tailoring learning to suit them
  • Working within a team and helping to build a comfortable environment for all children and staff
  • Following care plans, EHCP's, Pupil Passports and other relevant documents
  • Being comfortable with personal care is advantageous
  • Supporting a fantastic curriculum that teaches the children and young adults real life skills, as well as subject specific knowledge

What you will need:

  • Experience of working with children who have complex needs
  • A willingness to 'jump in' and help where necessary
  • Being comfortable with taking pupils for outings, supporting their independence and being a positive influence over this
  • Be able to assist the young adults with their emotional literacy, helping them to co and self regulate
