A new school site in Walthamstow is looking for a reliable and proactive Assistant Site Officer to join their team on a temporary supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a practical, hands-on role and takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is initially expected to run for at least one term, with the potential to continue through to December 2026, while the school moves towards recruiting a permanent member of staff.
Working closely with the Site Team, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the school premises, supporting with maintenance, security, and general site duties.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm-6:30pm (Including some holiday work, with a 20-minute unpaid break during the shift)
The role will involve:
- Supporting the day-to-day running and upkeep of the school site
- Assisting with opening and securing the premises when required
- Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and general DIY tasks
- Ensuring classrooms, communal areas, and outdoor spaces are well maintained
- Supporting with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups
