The Role:



  • Plan and deliver practical Construction lessons to secondary-aged students

  • Support pupils with construction skills, theory and industry knowledge

  • Maintain a safe, structured and engaging workshop/classroom environment

  • Teach safe use of tools, materials and equipment

  • Adapt lessons to support different learning needs and ability levels

  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and employability skills

  • Work closely with staff to support student progress and achievement


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:



  • QTS, teaching experience, or strong construction/trade experience

  • Experience teaching Construction, vocational subjects or practical skills is desirable

  • A strong understanding of health and safety in practical environments

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A calm, patient and organised approach

  • The ability to engage students who enjoy hands-on learning

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
