We are currently seeking a caring, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated
1:1 classroom support to a student transitioning into
Year 8 in September .
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to reach their full potential.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support the student's learning, organisation, engagement and overall wellbeing throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will be patient, positive and nurturing, with the ability to build a trusting and supportive relationship with the student.
You will encourage their confidence, independence and participation in the classroom while providing appropriate support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support within the classroom.
- Support the student's learning, engagement and participation.
- Assist with organisation and classroom routines.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student.
- Encourage independence, confidence and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team.
- Support the student's overall wellbeing and inclusion within the school environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children or young people.
- Is caring, patient and reliable.
- Has a positive and proactive approach.
- Can build strong, professional relationships with students.
- Is committed to supporting learning, inclusion and independence.
- Has the ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
This role would be well suited to an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience supporting children and young people in an educational setting.
