Full Time | Term Time Only | Temp to Perm

Salary: £140 - £160 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.15am until 4pm

Remedy are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary academy to recruit an experienced and passionate Pastoral Manager to join their dedicated support staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed individual who is driven to improve student outcomes through strong pastoral care, attendance strategies, and behaviour support.

The Role

As a Pastoral Manager, you will take responsibility for the attendance, behaviour and welfare of a designated cohort of students. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning, promoting positive engagement, and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on attendance and punctuality strategies for your cohort, working closely with senior leaders
  • Monitor daily attendance and implement targeted interventions where concerns arise
  • Conduct home visits and welfare checks where necessary
  • Promote positive behaviour and high standards across the school
  • Support students' wellbeing and act on student voice feedback
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
  • Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and overall student welfare
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to improvement planning

  • Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, or attendance-focused role within education
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with confidence and empathy

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
