Our client Blackburn with Darwen Council is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their Assessment Intervention Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment.
- Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients' homes.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting.
- Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments.
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes.
