Our client Tameside metropolitan borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising social workers and support staff.
- Overseeing assessments of children with disabilities and their needs.
- Ensuring care plans, safeguarding measures, and statutory responsibilities are carried out effectively.
- Supporting children who may require specialist services, short breaks, direct payments, or social care interventions.
- Working with schools, healthcare professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
- Monitoring team performance, caseloads, and service quality.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
- Managing budgets and resources where applicable.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development for team members.
